FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Fridge Art Fair New York 2026
Love is Like a Butterfly: The Dolly Parton Experience

May 13 – 17, 2026

Fridge Art Fair is thrilled to announce the launch of its 2026 New York edition, taking place during Frieze Art Week.

Love is Like a Butterfly: The Dolly Parton Experience, will take place across multiple vibrant locations throughout Chelsea, featuring special exhibitions, site-specific installations, performances, and community partnerships.

We are excited to return to return to the Alameda Highland Hotel Bar & Lobby, in the heart of Chelsea, as well as Dog City window space, City Opera's illustrious thrift store.

Inspired by the music, style, and unapologetic individuality of the iconic artist, this edition pays tribute to Dolly Parton's legacy as a groundbreaking cultural force whose art and activism continue to resonate across generations. Now in its 14th year, Fridge Art Fair continues its tradition of presenting inclusive, accessible, and vibrant art experiences that blend fine art, pop culture, and community in unforgettable ways.

Visitors can anticipate immersive installations, bold visual tributes, and interactive experiences that channel Dolly Parton's energy and ethos—from the raw emotion of “Jolene” to the bold liberation of “Love is Like a Butterfly.” Featuring local and international artists, the fair will explore themes of identity, self-expression, love, and the power of pop culture in shaping art.

Founded in 2013 by artist Eric Ginsburg on the principle that “art is for all,” Fridge Art Fair, the boutique, dog-friendly satellite art fair that embraces creativity without boundaries has become known as the fair that doesn’t take itself too seriously—while celebrating serious talent. Past editions have honored such cultural icons as Freddie Mercury, Paul Reubens, Frida Kahlo, and the colorful worlds of pop media, creating playful, approachable environments for collectors, art lovers, and the curious alike. With editions in Miami, New York, and beyond, Fridge offers an ALL-Inclusive space for emerging and established artists to connect with diverse audiences.

And as always—Fridge Art Fair is free to visit! "Can you fit into the fridge?”
